3rd day of orientation

Sigh. I did so much talking today guys. I'm so uncomfortable.

I had to call help desk TWICE today. They were wonderfully wonderful people that totally deserve the 70,000+ salaries. They're so patient and wonderful, and I'm just ever so sorry they have to deal with incompetent people like me. Just thank you to all the IT people in the world. You are wonderful. And are probably underappreciated, but you're wonderful.

Okay. Lol.

It was...hmmm, I think I got there too early. There was only one person there, but me remembering my 20 seconds of courage, instead of sitting behind her or in front of her, I sat RIGHT NEXT TO HER.

AND STARTED A CONVERSATION.

THANK THE LORD THAT SHE WAS A TALKATIVE PERSON!! lol.

So she was nice and I didn't have to sit by myself!

But turns out she already had friends there before, so I was kind of all third-wheeling it and ended up sitting alone at lunch. Until someone else came to sit with me. She tends to be ostracized by the people in my class, but honestly, I think she's nice, she just sometimes lets her mouth run when it probably shouldn't.

But we all got our problems don't we?

It was actually kind of rude. They saw her, gave the girl who was going to sit down a look and went to a different table. It made me kind of sad really. I was also disappointed in myself for wanting to sit with them. But really, I know they're nice people, but it's not right to...be nice to her face and then talk behind her back.

Anyways. Today was another orientation in a classroom. lol, pretty sure most hospitals don't have this many in class orientation days, but I'm grateful, I learned a lot.

We learned about different parts of the hospital. Like the ethicist, the chaplains, the bariatric surgery, risk managment, pt, occupational health, and got fitted for n-95 respirators. lol, it was kind of funny when we had to bow like a million times. Then we watched a movie and that was the end of the day.

well for most people. I had to go register for my benefits. Being an adult is hard guys. Got to pay for health and dental and eye insurance. This really makes me wonder if I need to get my eyes and teeth checked so much. And I mean, I'm sort of young so I shouldn't really need health insurance right???? lol, I wish. It's gonna take a huge chunk out of my paycheck.

I'm tired, but I don't have to get up until 9:30 tomorrow.

Man, I just want to say that my outfit was freaking pretty today. I haven't felt pretty in such a long time. But it was wonderful.

Best part of today: get paid for learning.
